Disneyland Day 3

This day was the day we chose to go to the park early. We stood in line for 45 minutes waiting to ride the Submerine ride. It was worth the wait. Then we went to all our favorite rides to ride a second time. Unfortunately, this day was tons busier then Monday and Tuesday. To all of you wanting to take a trip to Disneyland, try and go earlier in the week. There are tons less people.

Disneyland Day 2

The second day we spent in California Adventure. It was so stinking fun. Our favorite by far was the Soaring over California ride. The river rafting ride was fun too. Brent got lucky and came away from the ride just a tiny bit wet. My luck was completely different. A guiser went off right as our raft went by. The kids and I got off the ride soaking from head to toe. We were we the rest of the day. But it was so much fun.

Disneyland Day 1

Our first day in Disneyland was rush rush rush to this ride and to that ride. There were few rides that we didn't make it to. My favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean. The park was overwhelming, but so much fun!!! I think we all really loved Buzz Lightyear Astro Blater. Here are just a few pics.

Sea World

Sea World was probably my Favorite out of all the places we went. I am fascinated by marine life. Once again, the kids were able to get right up to the glass and experience these amazing animals first hand. One of our favorites spots was the Forbidden Reef. We were able to pet Bat Rays and even a shark. It was amazing to feel the difference between the soft, squishy rays and the hard, slightly rough shark. The bat rays would actually push against your hand. So COOL!!!!!

San Diego Zoo

We took a break from Disneyland and headed to the Zoo. We almost had the Zoo to oursleves. We got front row seats to the california sea lion show. Beckham sat clear behind us, out of the splash zone. He remembered Sea World and all the water from the Dolphin show. Our favorites in the Zoo were the Orangutans, Polar Bears and the Panda Bears. It was so much fun getting so close to the animals. The kids got right up to the glass and experienced them first hand.

Huntington Beach

The first stop on our trip to California was to the beach. The kids were a little frightened of the waves, at first. Then they got into it. They loved being pummeled by the waves and collecting seashells. I wish we had more time there. We'll just have to make more time next time.

Devil's Kitchen

When I was growing up my parents would take us kids on long drives up the canyon. That is one of my most fondest memories of my childhood. I have longed to do the same thing with our kids. Unfortunately, Brent never felt the same way, until recently. It wasn't until we purchased our 2004 Suburban that Brent wanted to go for long drives. The first drive we took was about a month ago just up Diamond Fork Canyon. Yesterday, we drove around the Nebo Loop. It was so much fun. It was cloudy and rainy, such a nice break from the hot weather we've been having. The colors on the trees were just starting to change and the scene from the top was so majestic. Jaren was a little freaked out about how high we were. One of the stops we made was to a place named Devil's Kitchen. There was a nice paved trail that made it super easy to get to. When you come around the corner it's a shock to your eyes. The sub-title under the sign read, Little Bryce Canyon. That's exactly what it looked like. What a fun little find. Too bad it was raining and a little bit to cold to be outside the car. I think Hannah is trying to show this feeling on her face. Man, she sure takes after me when it comes to faces.
