Christmas Cheer

Here you go Jessica, this is what my house looks like this year. I had so much fun decorating and setting up two trees. It was very tiring, but a lot of fun. I love Christmas decorations!!!!

A Thanksgiving to remember

Thanksgiving Day was turning out to be like any other Thanksgiving. We were getting the food already. The turkey was resting, stuffing and sweet potatoes were warming up. Then I heard a cry from downstairs that you just don't want to hear when your a Mom. I went downstairs and found Annika at the foot of the treadmill. At first things didn't look so bad. But as we examined her foot, it was bad. The kids were playing on the treadmill and somehow Annika's food got caught. Out of desperation, Hannah "helped" by pulling her foot out. In the process nearly ripped her toe off. To make a long story short, we spent 3.5 hrs in the E.R. NOT FUN!!!!! Annika ended up getting 11 stitches. Just today I took her back into the E.R. because it just didn't look right. After being brushed aside by the good 'ol Docs at the E.R. I took her to our Pediatritian for a second opinion. The whole medical field is so frustrating. No straight answers, not one sure way to treat or take care of a wound. So now we just are playing the waiting game, and hope the oral and topical anti-biotics help her foot heal. I tried to take a picture of it, but the flash washed everything out. So I took this video instead. Enjoy.

My trip to Virginia

My one and only sister had twins on September 11. Crazy that both of us would have twins without the use of some kind of drug. I was lucky enough to go and visit her and the babies this November. I was a little nervous at first, especially following a visit with my Mom. She is so turbo at everything. All my worries melted away when I held Asher and Soren. And for the first time being an Aunt came naturally. I do remember why I didn't want to have twins again. They are HARD work. But I am amazed at my sisters patience and complete love for her babies. She is just so truely happy and thrilled to be a mother. It was infectious. It was good for me to be around those babies. It relaxed me a little, and prepared me some for the upcoming birth of my daughter. Which is now just 2 and half more months!!!

Our Spooky Halloween

This year I decided to get each of the girls a wig. I thought I was being very clever and very fun. Wigs for little girls' probably wasn't the best idea that I've had. It sure added to thier costumes though. By the end of the night they were ratted and a narly mess. Annika's kept falling off of her head and getting into her face. Hannah was Hannah Montana, Isabel was Belle, and Annika was a Mermaid. Jaren made a great pirate thanks to my amazing make-up abilities. He had to check himself out in the mirror every step that I added. He kept telling me he looked like a girl. But he didn't, he just made a great Jack Sparrow. Jaren borrowed a Ninja costume from my good friend Amy. He was so adorable waving those stinking swords around. We had a jam packed night. First we visited Aunt Brooke's work and trick-or-treated there for a short bit. We missed you Aunt Kelli!!!! Then we went to Great Grandma Charlotte's and visited her for a very short minute. The natives got very restless there. After that we headed to Grandma Donna and Papa Woody's where they recieved there annual King Size candy bar. We couldn't stay long since we had a trunk-or-treat to make it to by 6pm. We barely made it home in time for Brent to hop in the car. The trunk-or-treat was a lot of fun. We were done in 45 minutes flat. Then we came home, ate dinner and headed out again. This time we went to the Huhtala's for a fun game of find the red skittle in all the coolwhip. Thanks Amy, you really know how to entertain the goblins!!! But our evening wasn't over with. Our finaly stop was at the Fossat's house. The kids went downstairs to watch and edited version of Transformers and the adults stayed up stairs to snake and chat. We didn't get home until 10:30pm. It was a late night for all, but we had a great time.

Recital Fun Fun Fun

It's amazing the things you can find when you are getting organized. I just had to share the pictures from our very last Dance Recital. The kids and I were envolved in Dance for 2 years and had so much fun learning talents we never knew we had. These pictures were taken in May 2007 for the Disney themed Recital. It was so much fun!!!! Yes, and even Jaren learned how to clog!!!
