Our first day in Virgina was spent getting acquainted with Asher and Soren. They are my sister Jessica's twin sons. Of course they were a little shy and stand offish at first. Then they discovered Brent's hats. They LOVED the hats. Although one hat in particular was more popular then another. We were able to witness first hand the "na na". Which translated from twinish is "hey will you trade me what you have for this?" It is hilarious. I think Soren na-na'd them most. This evening though it was pretty even between the two.
I need to tell the story behind the title of the post as well. One evening Jessica and I took the boys to a park to play. During the week I had heard my sister's baby talk to the boys and thought it was so funny. So while playing with Soren I spoke to him in his Mom's silly jiberish. Instead of saying, "so, so fun " she says, "doh, doh fun!!?" Which got Jessica laughing. I guess she never really thought about how she sounded. Which really, do we ever really think much about how we sound when talking to our babies?
Our first night was "doh doh fun". Asher and Soren were "doh doh cute!!!" Those boys could sit for hours and read their books and color on their doodle pads. In fact, the only way they would sit with me is if I were reading or coloring with them. Asher especially loved Brent. One evening I asked Asher if I could carry him to the car. He looked right at me, did an about face and ran towards Brent. It was fun to be just an Aunt for a week. Not distracted by my own children or my duties as host what not. It also made me realize that I need to be a better Aunt to my neice and nephew here in Utah. Just one more thing to add to my list of "things to improve on". Sheesh, I think that list just grows and grows.

Your visit was 'doh doh' fun! We are devastated that you left. Asher and Soren miss uncle Hat and Aunt Amberlyn so much. Thanks for spoiling us with your love and attention. Thanks for being such a super aunt to my midder midder cute baby babes.
