One morning I was busy doing something around the house and Beckham wanted a piece of bread with butter and jam. I told him that he could do it himself. The only thing he needed help with was opening the jam jar. I am so proud of him and his snack getting skills. Just another milestone in that kids life; getting older; able to get things for himself.
Last week Beckham came to me and said, "Mom, why is it always Kindergarten, then Soccer. Kindergarten then soccer. I'm so tired of Kindergarten and Soccer." Poor Kid. He is in the beginnings of the rest of his life. School and schedules. He has been so use to just playing at friends, coming and going, and not doing much of anything. Then one day, his life is filled with school, schedule and forced to be places every single day. I can see how that's overwhelming for a kid. It's overwhelming to me, too. We have two soccers games every night Tuesdays-Friday. It's nuts, but it's a lot of fun. Time consuming and a bit stressful at times(especially when you are the only parent trying to get everyone dressed, prepped, and on time). Despite all that the kids are building memories and learning how to be active and healthy.

Thats awsome that he can do those things for himself. The little things like that help us moms out so much.
His life really has changed! He went from free form to a whole lot of structure. I'm sure in a few weeks he'll get the hang and feel less rushed. Little man is growing up! I feel for you being the one to get all the kids ready for school and their games--it's a lot of work. You are such a dedicated, loving mom.
Funny, bread and jam. In one of the books I read, bread and jam was always the treat between meals for the kids. He will be making them for Grace as well.
