Snorkeling at Molokini and The Dumps

One of the excursions we chose to go on was a boat ride out to a little island called Molokini. The boat we rode out on was made to hold 142 people and there were a total of 20 people on it that day. The harbor we left from was the second windiest in the whole world and there was practically NO WIND that day. Pristine condition is how our guide described it. It was pretty stinking incredible! The water is crystal clear at Molokini. You can see a hundred feet down.  The coral was pretty cool, but due to over fishing in that area (I guess this is a place where a lot of tropical fish tank places gather their fish from), there weren't very many fish. One of our guides taught us how to free snorkel. I think I was the only person to really try it out. It's kinda scary, the first time. I wish I had more time to try it out. If I ever make it back to Hawaii, I'm definately going to spend more time snorkeling.  The ocean is incredible.

Ya, I'm chubs!
But I had the time of my life, basking in the Hawaii sun.

My cute husband.

The only picture I got of Brent in his snorkel gear.

It's me, free snorkeling.
I'm giving the best "hang loose" I can while trying not to freak out.
While down below you could hear the whales.  I'm not kidding.

The coral at Molokini

This is "the dumps".  A popular snorkeling spot in Walea.
It was murky and a tad bit scary.

All Brent wanted to do was swim with the turtles.
You could hear the complete excitement in his voice when he discovered them below our feet!

Fun! Big fish and large creatures under water scare me.
