Putting on Armor

Shielding herself from the Enemy.
Which more often then not is her brothers and sisters!!

Is anything cuter then this face?

For FHE I talked about putting on the Armor of God. I had bought a Knights outfit at the dollar store and used those pieces as my props. Grace just about flipped out when she saw them. She insisted on putting everything on. She was quite entertaining. When we started singing the opening song she got down and boogied!!! I wish I had a video camera!!! It was seriously the cutest thing EVER!!!

A few weeks ago we had a lesson in R.S. about putting on the full Armor of God. I thought that subject was so important that I re-taught it for FHE. It is so important to me that my children are armed when they go off to school every single day. That is why I've been more diligent in reading scriptures in the morning and praying just before they leave the house. I can't go out into the world with my children to defend and protect them. But I can arm them with the gospel and the holy ghost. I put a lot of faith in scripture study and prayer. Knowing that those things are helping to protect my children from the real enemy, Satan.

I also emphasised to my children that Satan doesn't have a family, so he wants ours. He wants to tear ours apart. We have to do all we can to keep it strong, to defend it, and fight for it. Putting on the Armor of God helps us to acheive that every day. It does make a difference.

That was such a great FHE lesson--especially when you mentioned how Satan influences each child. I also love those brown eyes! I love baby dances too!
