U2; Classic Rock?

I have a guilty pleasure. And that guilty pleasure is watching Glee. I pure love this show. Yes there are some inappropriate themes that are explored, but the writing is amazing. It's just a little bit of poop in the cupcake as my Mother-in-law would say. But Tuesday night they completely crossed the line. I thought when Rachel said they were going to sing a classic rock song that she was going to introduce Journey, The Eurythmics, Eagles, or the Police. But NO, she introduces U2's One as a classic rock song. WHAT THE HECK!!! When did U2 enter the realm of classic rock? And does that mean I am of classic age? Or am I completely delusional about my age? 34 is not that old people! Despite this flaw that has snagged my faith in the writing on Glee, I will continue to watch the drama unfold and be comforted by the musical performances.

Please, just don't call U2 classic rock.

I love Glee too! I do have to say Rachel singing One was kind of embarrassing. We are not that old either!! ;)

That makes me feel way to old. I have never watched glee but I did see when they cast was on Oprah. It looked really interesting and I would probably watch it if I ever remembered when it was on.

Ya, pretty much we're ancient... :) That's okay. It's good to know that we listened to the good stuff that is now "Classic", right?

I disagree with you. What we called Classic rock in high school was at least 15-20 years old. U2 started making songs in the EARLY 80s, which is 30 years ago. Sorry sis but they are classic rock to today's high school class.
