Trinidad Lighthouse and Indian Beach

Every other trip out to NoCal I was just along for the ride. Take me where you want to go and I will be happy. This time around, I didn't want to venture to the same places. If I was going to drive 15 hours, I wanted to see some new places. Which, I'm not going to lie, caused some conflict and at times I had to relinquish my plans. All in all, I got to see almost everything that was on my list. At the top of that list was to see tide pools. While at the Observatory we were told that Indian Beach was a good place for tide pools. We stopped off in Trinidad on our way home from Patrick's Point. The coastline was breath taking, climbing and clambering over the rocks was a supreme adventure and to discover sea creatures was a highlight of the day.

We still had fun pulling it out of the water.

I was overwhelmed by the beauty of Indian Beach.  The rugged rocks, the murky tidepools, the misty fog, and the exhilaration of being there with some of the people I love most.  Photos don't do this place justice, but at least these will conjure up the amazing memories I took with me that day.
