Six? Six? He can't be Six already!!!

My sweet husband steped up and frosted Beckham's cake.
I was sick in bed up until the party!

I wonder what he wished for?
Maybe to be a few inches taller?

The great thing about kids, boys especially;
They don't care what their cake looks like,
just as long as they get a cake!!

Happy Birthday Bug!!!

My sweet Beckham turned 6 years old on February 17th. I am late in posting due to a vicious stomach virus that struck me last week.

Beckham was born 2 days late. I had been to the doctor and there were no signs of labor. So the doctor stripped my membranes. The next 3 days I went in and out of labor. I was sick of it all so I went back into the doctor. After checking me they proclaimed me in full labor. A quick call to Brent brought him home and we were quickly on our way to the hospital. I neglected to pre-register so I had to sit through that process while in labor. Every 5 minutes I had to pause to brace myself for the next wave of pain. I was determined to give birth naturally with Beckham after my c-section with Isabel and Annika. I went in with no drugs, just a little something to help take off the edge. If I knew what was coming I would have had them give me an epidural!!! Beckham quickly became stuck. With both my Mom and Mother-in-law standing behind the doctor, I tried not to notice the horrid looks on their faces as they pulled out the forceps and tugged that baby out. Yes, FORCEPS WITH NO DRUGS!!! I get a medal for this birth.

Beckham has been such a joy from the very beginning. He was an adorable baby, sweet toddler, hit his exploratory age at 3 till he was 5. Beckham is truly a sweet sweet boy. He always wants to curl up on my lap, he tells me he loves constantly. Beckham is passionate about playing with his friends. And you can tell he admires both his Dad and big brother Jaren. There is just something about Beckham that is endearing to many people. I love this little man and I can't believe that he's already six.
