SO LUCKY

Green waffles and yogurt anyone?

Cute Grace.
Even she ate around the yogurt.

Annika
Gobbled up the waffle, suffered through the yogurt and tossed the banana

Isabel kept the banana on the plate just for the photo.
It was quickly tossed aside.
What ev.

Jaren, being a boy,
happily gobbled up everything!

Hannah
Can you tell she's angry with me?
She wasn't hungry enough to eat.
I think she had 2 bites.

Trying to get a good shot

Come on guys, stop having fun and stand still!!!

I LOVE this shot.
The kids are genuinely loving each other and it shows!

I have such cute kiddos!

As tradition goes, I tried to come up with a green breakfast in celebration of St. Patty's day. I almost forgot it was St. Patrick's Day. I was quickly reminded during my drive to the gym this morning. I sneaked out of my spin class early so I could purchase some eggs. Eggs are necessary when making waffles. I also picked up some Sunny D. I tried to make my waffles a little more healthy by adding 1/2 cup of wheat germ to them. I also jazzed them up by adding vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and ground ginger. They were quite tasty. In addition to the waffles I died some vanilla yogurt. I love yogurt on my french toast, pancakes and waffles. I do this instead of butter, it adds a little more protein to the meal. To round out the meal I added a banana. The only success of the morning were the waffles. Jaren loves yogurt on his waffles as well. But the other turned their noses up at it. As well as the bananas! What? They normally like bananas. Why all of the sudden start boycotting them? What Ev.

This year I wanted to get pictures of them all in their green. I'm so thrilled to be at the stage in motherhood where my children can dress themselves and figure out their outfits on their own. They are all so clever. Except this morning Isabel snuck the dress that Hannah wanted to wear. We normally have major drama issues at this point. I nicely asked Hannah to find other shirts of hers that she could share with Isabel. After coming down with 3 or 4 choices I asked again if she'd go upstairs to get a pair of capris while Isabel finished unloading the dishwasher. Her response, " Why do I have to continue to be your slave?" Oh really, my slave huh? I think slavery and injustice was on her brain since she was preparing for her Freedom Fair this morning. All the 5th grade were doing short skits on many people who were treated unjustly. I guess this morning Hannah felt like I was treating her unjustly. We managed to make through without too much drama. You can still tell my Hannah's photo that she wasn't happy with how her morning was going. Kids kill me sometimes.

Hah! They are showing teeth! I love, love, love that BIG photo of them too. I can't believe how much they have grown up since I last saw them. You are so lucky to have them.

Love the pictures! I neglected to make something green this year.... I'll have to remember the waffles and yogurt idea. Looks good. I love Grace's hair. I wish Kira's was that grown in. She still has this weird baby fluff mullett hair.
