4th day of Christmas...

We cut and hung Snowflakes.

I think they add a bit of festive charm to our kitchen.

All the kids had super fun cutting and designing each one.

Our Wall is growing more and more interesting.
We decided to feature our projects around envelopes.

This was a super fun and super simple activity. It was simply amazing as well. Not one complaint. Not one moment of drama. I had pre-cut and folded all the snowflakes so they were ready to go. There were enough scissors to go around which is always key with 5 children. The only annoyance of the evening was Grace going from person to person trying to help them cut out their snowflakes. At one point I was trying to help Annika and look up to find Grace with scissors spread apart above her head just about ready to cut her hair!!! Yikes. We don't need any of that right now. These aren't as chic at pom-poms(which I've yet to sit down and make). But nothing beats a project that a child can do on their own, and feel accomplished when finished.

We were sitting down to start the project when Annika said, "We're doing it without Dad?" I told her yes. Sometimes Dad's just don't make it home in time to participate. And sometimes the evening is filled with so many other commitments you have to fit the project in at the most convient time. And tonight, that time didn't envolve Dad. Bless her little heart.

Lovely idea! Glad it was received with happiness and no drama. Glad Grace still has her hair! Could you continue for the next year to blog every night?
