We spent a lot of time at several different parks!
All the kids!!
We had such a great time!!
Even if it was freezing cold.
Don't let the brightness fool you!
This photo is for you Jessica!
I immediately thought of you!
Here is just a smattering of all the photos I took while in Boise, ID. It has been several years since our last visit to Idaho. I've seen Rebecca and Rich just a few times in between on thier quick, quick trips to Utah. After talking with Rebecca several weeks ago I just felt like I really needed to visit. Brent wasn't excited about me driving all by myself. But I was confident. The ride to and from went surprisingly well. The kids didn't fight. Only a few times did they ask "are we there yet?". I think that was a tender mercy.
I met Rebecca while living in Orem. I was not in a good place in my life. I was struggling with 4 children all under the age of 3. It wasn't until I met Rebecca that I experienced true Christ like service. She was the very first person to call me and simply ask, " How are you?" She didn't call for a favor, for a calling, or for babysitting. She was calling out of love and friendship. That simple act of kindness changed my life forever!! I felt like I was needed, loved, and appreciated for simply being me.
There are friendships in life that come and go. And then there are friendships that last a lifetime. When you pick up the phone and start talking like you just saw each other a few hours ago, when in reality, it's been several months.
We had a great time hanging out, cooking, cleaning, and talking about motherhood. It was just what I needed.
